Crown Community Church is an independent Church run by a group of local Christians.

We Believe:-

SCRIPTURE - We believe that The Bible is the Word of God and contains the whole Truth of God given by Him in order that we might come to know Him, Love Him, Serve Him and grow in our Christian walk with Him, pressing on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. the Old Testament and New Testament are the inspired Word of God and is without error.  It is the complete and final written revelation from God. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

The Old Testament is an account of a Nation. The New Testament is the account of a Man. The Creator became a Man. His appearance is the central event of all history. We believe in the account of Creation and that Adam and Eve were the first humans. God created them pure and sinless but they wilfully and knowingly broke God’s law. This resulted in the whole human race being under the curse of sin and separated from God.

GODHEAD

We believe that there is only one God, who is eternal and Who never changes. He manifests Himself in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and this triune God created all, upholds all and governs all; Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, and John 10:30)

JESUS

His Sinless Life. We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) of Nazareth is the promised Messiah (John 1:36-42), who was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1: 23, Luke 1:26-38), He was totally without sin and had a miraculous ministry of Healing and Teaching. (Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:26), He was God in human flesh (John 1:1 & 14, John 20:28)

We believe that He is one and the same as God. He was fully human and fully God;

Jesus died to take away our sins and restore us back into fellowship with Himself. He was crucified on a cross, buried in a tomb, was resurrected from the dead and He ascended into heaven where He now lives, thus having victory over sin and death. We believe He will return to earth a second time when He will make all things new.

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ who will appear in the clouds to catch up His Church, The Bride of Christ, before the Tribulation that is coming on the whole earth. John 14:13; 1 Thess 4:13-18

He will personally and visibly return at the end of the Great Tribulation with His saints and all His holy angels to the earth at the end of the tribulation to set up His kingdom on earth, ruling and reigning for a thousand years. After this the final Great White Throne Judgement will take place and all sin and evil will be ended in the Lake of Fire. Then He will take us into the New Jerusalem where we will live and reign with Him forever and ever. (Matthew 24; Revelation 19-21)

While Jesus lived on earth, He performed supernatural miracles. He showed by His life that He was truly the Son of God. Jesus said He is the one and only way to God and there is salvation in no other. We must be born again by the Holy Spirit and put our trust in Jesus alone in order to go to Heaven. The Holy Spirit will then begin a new work in our lives so that we are changed from the inside.

SALVATION

We believe that all humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature, and can only be saved by a personal faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and not by any human merit or performance. (John 3:16-19, John 5:24, Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5)

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that genuine believers are born again by the Holy Spirit of God, and are indwelt, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, and thus, unable to be separated from the love of Jesus Christ. (John 3:1-6; Acts 1:4-5; Romans 8:35-39; Ephesians 1:13-14)

BAPTISM

In Water - We practise Water Baptism by full immersion as was preached by the Apostles in the New Testament thus following the example of Jesus. The Bible teaches that we should believe and be Baptised as the first step in our Christian faith.

It is the response to the Gospel by those who have repented of all sin and put their faith in Christ as Saviour and Lord (Matt 3:11, Acts 2:38,39)

In the Holy Spirit - We believe in the Holy Spirit baptism. This is when we ask the Holy Spirit of God to fill our hearts and lives with His supernatural presence. The evidence of the Holy Spirit baptism is the receiving of special gifts we did not have before as listed in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. He empowers us for a new life and gives us the ability to do what Jesus did here on earth.

It is the promise of Jesus Christ to every believer with the express purpose of giving the believer power to witness. (Matt 3:11, Acts 2:38,39, Acts 1:8)

Gifts of the Spirit - We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit have been given by God to the Church for the building up of the Church until the Lord returns (1 Cor 12:4 – 11, Eph 4:7-16)

Fruits of The Spirit - We believe that holiness of life and conduct is God’s calling for every believer and that the fruit of the Spirit should be seen to be developing in every believers life (1 Peter 1:14-16, Gal 5:22-25)

We believe we should live holy lives that are pure and clean through obedience to the principles and teachings in the Bible so that we can live lives that please God.

COMMUNION

We believe that Breaking of Bread is both a command and a privilege given to all believers that we might remember the Lord's death until He comes again (Luke 22:7-20, 1 Cor 11:20-34) We celebrate this every Sunday morning.

We believe that everyone who has become a Christian should remember Him by regularly participating in communion. We regularly pray for the sick because we believe God still works miracles today.

THE DEVIL/SATAN

We believe in a real/literal devil, called Satan, who, along with all his fallen angels, demons, are destined to spend eternity in hell, and now seek to deceive the world, defeat the believers, and destroy the work of God, but can be resisted by believers, who are protected by God, the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord. (Genesis 3:1, Job 1:6-12, Matthew 4:1-11, Luke 22:31-32, 1 John 4:4, Revelation 20:10)

We believe that Heaven is a real place where the saved will dwell forever, and that Hell is a literal place of torment where unbelievers will suffer forever. (John 14:1-3, Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 22:5)

We believe in the spiritual unity of all genuine believers in the Lord Jesus Christ which is manifested by the spiritual gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit’s presence through His love. (I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 4:8-12)

ISRAEL

We believe that the Nation of Israel has a special place in God’s plan both past, present and future and all of the promises of God to Israel will be fulfilled both now and at the second coming of Jesus Christ to establish His Millennial Reign. (Matthew 24:30, Revelation 20:6; Gen 12:3; Ps 122:1.)

MARRIAGE - We believe the human race was created as male and female by a direct act of God to fully reveal His image. (Genesis 1:26-28)

We believe marriage is a sacred covenantal union between a man and a woman that limits sexual relations to monogamous, heterosexual marriage. (Genesis 2:24) Furthermore, solemnising of a marriage between men and women of the same sex is contrary to the Word of God and is a sin before God. (Romans 1:21-27)

PRAYER - We are committed to pray regularly for the nation of Israel in the light of current events and especially as we are approaching the end of days. We do this at our weekly prayer meeting where we also pray for our Country, The World and one another. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Maranatha and Shalom.

We believe in eternal life and judgement. Those who have committed their lives to following Jesus will spend eternity with Him in heaven. However, those who have not will be punished for their sins eternally.

The most exalted privilege is to know Him. That’s what the Bible is all about.
